Seventy Seven Families and Me

Mr. President, members of Congress, Senators, Republican, Democrat, Liberal, Conservative, Right or Left, America, Men and Women, I felt it important to explain what I see, I felt it important to explain.

Seventy Seven Families and Me.

For three and a half years I have been witness to a few things, since January I have been writing about a dream, a simple dream born out of compassion for children, I have on occasion been asked for proof of statements I make. I have been very out spoken about War, about the costs of War, I have been very out spoken about immigration and how important it is to understand.

Sometimes you end up in places for reasons you don’t see. You have to come to terms with it and make the best you can with what you have. After a landlord and bank dispute I had three days to move my family, I found a place near a good school, and downsized everything from a home to apartment sized and in the three days moved into Northwest Pointe Apartments, NSH housing. The place was really fast in getting us in and with young kids in three days that is important. We always said once we get settled we could move on to a bit better place.

What I found Mr. Cruz was far different than the entitlement you so fondly describe, of Well fare excess, drug addicts, things must really be different down in Texas.

There is seventy seven units here they are filled with Cuban, Russia, Congo, Eretria, Honduras, Bosnia, Somalia, Mexico, Burma, Slovakia, Ukraine, Turkey, Iraq, China, Columbia, Afghanistan, Iran, Jordan, Kenya, Ethiopia, a few Veterans, few young couples, a few senior citizens.  So that is Twenty Nations represented in Seventy Seven Units. I know this seems odd really Twenty Nations in American support.

The Immigrations I see, from South America refugees of the Drug War on either side of the issue. From Eastern Europe down through the Middle East refugees of Wars, From Africa refugees of religious Wars, all somehow ended up here.

What I found Mr. President is the real cost of war, with this my emotions run high, I have children sir who play in the playground out back, a court yard filled with the voices of children shy at first until they realize they are accepted, until they realize they are safe.

What I found America is a trail of tears of missing or lost family members, a trail of woe from every excuse used to declare a War. All reflected perfectly in a busted up run down playground.

Yes reflected perfect in the play ground with laughter. Beyond belief the children step over even langue barriers, they step over what faith, what color, where you came from, you see those children laugh.

I could go on with that, alas I need to continue to my points, you see what happens when people find out other people are in need of help, but not the help you find in your entitlement theory, but the help that others clearly see a need for.

Have you ever helped some one become an American?

You claim immigration is a negative issue, is hard to resolve, yet you forget what makes America great, Emma Lazarus; "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Your forget to look for the reasons why we should, all reflected perfectly in a playground.

Mr. President, Congressmen, Senators you have for years been producing law after law to increase the materials of these wars, you have passed laws of excess in securing more opportunities to use these materials of these War, yet you have showed little compassion to what is reflected in that playground. With all haste did you dispatch our military, with clear understand of the tasks given to them, yet to your own you have neglected your responsibilities to those who were affected by your actions.

I charge you with an indictment of shame.

When others fail, Human Nature steps in, I want to thank, Eat Smart Idaho, Idaho Food Bank, Untied Way, Key Bank, BUGS Summer Scholarship, NHS Vistas, the community churches for assisting in meeting needs of education, food, clothing and nutrition, for those who are in need.

When you step away from the playground who see the parents, people that have a dream, people that share, people that care for their children, people that work, people that want an American education for their child, want an American dream for their children that want a better life, from woe from which they came.

You see people without discriminations trying to achieve.
