Can one barrow happiness?

 

I live in a time were it is okay to be gay, they can parade around hold hands and show care, were on most movies of note there is a scene of care in the highest value, the one of making love, I can watch the news and see death and war, pain and misery at the hands of another, I can see children and how they try and do and succeed in delivering that very misery to another child.

 

I went and read some news today about a Governor who is accepting gifts and his wife is too, they say it was not done for a favor.

 

I can set and watch these things.

 

Then comes a clear understanding that yes for a moment I can barrow your happiness, I can walk into a room and smile when every one there is laughing, but this will only last as long as I allow it. The same is true about misery, I can walk into a room where every one is crying and shed that tear that is empathy.

 

Yet neither to understand happiness one can not barrow it, nor to understand misery one can not barrow it, for with a barrow or a loan one must be able to repay that which one has barrowed other wise it is stealing.

 

Yet if I travel to NYC I see millions of people living together out of a reason to be together and no other. They want to live and enjoy each other they are proud to be New Yorkers each their own value of the meaning of being a New Yorker displayed in actions and deeds. Yes there are some who say they want out, they can not move, they do not have what they want, yet a bus ticket west is under 100.00 dollars still. There are some who are rich, there are some poor, there are some of every religious belief, and some of no religious belief.

 

I can say that about London, Paris, Hong Kong, Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, Cairo, Beirut, in every country, every city the same is true.

 

The only ones who can not see this clearly is our leaders, who would prefer to avoid such statements, Why would they want to avoid these things, because you will not support their goal of using the weapons of war. They believe you can not barrow happiness nor sorrow because you have to repay it. That payment is the lives of people of a city or a country that they want you to believe is so horrific that we need to kill to provide such happiness, forgetting the cost of that happiness is the misery of death.

 

No child should die by a weapon of war, please wake up.  They are stealing lives something you can not repay.
