If you could address the American Congress what would you
say? If you had a chance to address the United Nations General Assembly what
would you say?
If you really has the chance to make a point to our leaders,
what would you say, I know many people for many reasons want to say something
about what we do as a Nation, to which other Nations look to for answers to
humanity big issues.
It is long been said that out of discussion comes resolve.
To each person the idea of having voice, leads to action then on to the
solution. If you had a chance to address the leaders of the world what in you
would say?
To affect change a voice must be directed at the leadership,
a concept born out of our founding documents, to whom you address is equally
important as to what you would say, a respect given to the original voice, you
thus your words reflect who you are. If you could who would you address?
In letter format what would you honor your own voice, your
ideals to the leadership that is governing you, in grievance or honoring what
would you say? If you could write a letter to them, What really would you say?
Dear Mr. President, esteemed members of Congress and
Senators,
What sets before you this week is a bill that supports our
defense budget, appropriations for funding all of the various forms of our
government, in each area is a need for your attention to detail the intention
to the out comes of the services which our government provides. It is this out
come I must address.
A point of human decency, of the total of your latest
budgets there seems to be inequality. There seems to be a huge inequality. A
value which I implore you to change.
Trillions and trillions of dollars is spent in the creative
means to destroy human life, we call this our defense, we call this our nation
security, we call this our Super Power.
Would you please consider spending an equal amount on saving
a human life, you would look to the refuges of War, of Hunger, of disease, to
our education of our children our schools, would you please take a moment of
pause, and wonder what leadership we could be, what helping hand we should be
known as, what reaches we could achieve in science, industry, if we spent the
same amount of saving human life.
We talk about ideals of reasons of who and what we are as a
Super Power, yet we do so very little in showing human decency as a power.
Setting before you is the task of leadership, the task of
showing responsibilities of what America really is and stands for,
thus it is that I implore you to look yet again on those trillions and trillion
of dollars, to what justification can seek funding for another tank, without
justifying the same amount in preservation of human life.
The task before you is an inequality, to which you must seek
justification to assign your name, by vote or signature, you have to sign and
agree to these spending requests, would it be you that would take a moment to
consider human life.
Chas
